Continue to Tourrettes- sur-Loup, a peaceful hilltop village far from the large tourist crowds. As this is where I live, you can enjoy a unique cheese and wine tasting lunch (60 €/ person) in my own beautiful garden, under the majestic fig tree. You will also have the rare opportunity to visit a typical Old Provencal house, offering an authentic glimpse into local life.
The journey then leads through a spectacular canyon up to the medieval village of Gourdon, home to a 12th-century castle and panoramic views over the French Riviera countryside.

Contrary to common belief, tipping is customary in France for good service in restaurants, cafes, hotels and for tour guides and drivers. When you see “service compris” on the bill, this refers to the waiter’s salary- not a tip. A gratuity of 10-15% is generally appreciated for excellent service.
